The Race

Paddlers prepare to start!
Our hearts start to race,
We want to start paddling faster and faster,
But Marilyn's voice brings us back to reality,
Heads Up and Breath! Hit, Hit!
We say to ourselves,
Breaths, rotate, feel the water,
How can I? I'm trying to paddle my guts out!
Too much on our minds,
The finish line will soon be there,
And that is when we hear,
Let it run! 
Our favorite line.
Out of breath and excited,
We still shout our name with pride, 
Blind Ambition!
Then it is time to for us to breath,
And paddle to shore.
